Job Description

The Associate Software Engineer plays a vital role within the software development team, actively engaging in every stage of the software development project’s life cycle. This encompasses critical activities such as analyzing project requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, rigorously testing business software applications, and finally, assisting in the successful implementation of projects. Their contribution ensures the creation of robust and effective software systems, making them an integral part of the development process from conception to completion.

Roles and Responsibilities

Analyzing the Requirement: At the beginning of the day, the software engineer delves into project requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of what needs to be accomplished. This step is crucial for setting the direction and scope of the day’s tasks.
Developing and Testing Task/Program/Application: The majority of the day is dedicated to hands-on work. This involves writing, testing, and refining code for software tasks, programs, or applications. It’s the core activity that drives the project forward.
Creating Diagrams and Flowcharts: To maintain clarity in software design, engineers create visual aids like diagrams and flowcharts. These visuals help in structuring and documenting the software architecture.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Effective communication is essential. Software engineers document their work and share knowledge with team members. This promotes collaboration and ensures that everyone is on the same page.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Engineering): A foundational educational background, typically a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is essential for this role. It provides the necessary theoretical knowledge.
Experience in SQL and .Net Development: Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) and .Net development is a must. This involves the ability to work with databases and write code in the .Net framework, a widely used technology in software development.
Experience in Any Programming Language (Preferred – .Net, C#): While SQL and .Net are required, familiarity with additional programming languages, especially .Net and C#, is a plus. It demonstrates versatility and adaptability in coding.
Database Knowledge (Any) – Preferred MSSQL, Postgre, MySQL, Aurora: Understanding and experience with databases is crucial. Preferred databases include MSSQL, Postgre, MySQL, and Aurora. Proficiency in these databases allows for effective data management and retrieval.
