About the job

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be an integral part of an exciting team, working in an open and collaborative environment. Your primary responsibility is to implement stack deployments following best practices, ensuring secure and scalable platforms. This involves leveraging your expertise to design and implement deployment processes that adhere to industry standards and incorporate robust security measures.

In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring resource usage, setting budgets, and managing accounts, while staying up-to-date with the latest service developments from IBM Cloud and other leading cloud providers. This proactive approach allows you to optimize resource allocation, make informed decisions, and leverage new features and services to enhance the platform.

To maintain high performance standards, you will configure auto-scaling mechanisms to dynamically adjust resources based on business requirements. This ensures that the platform can handle varying workloads efficiently, providing optimal performance and user experience.

Collaboration with the Strategy and DevOps teams is crucial in maintaining test, staging, and production environments. By closely working with these teams, you can ensure that uptime, performance, cost, and security goals are met consistently across different environments. This involves coordinating deployment schedules, implementing automated testing processes, and continuously monitoring and optimizing the environments to achieve the desired outcomes.

Requirements

Experience with Cloud Infrastructure & Application monitoring tools.
Hands-on experience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to Cloud architecture.
Basic understanding of Access Control and least privilege principle.

Qualifications

Ability to debug web-based solutions on both client and server sides would be a skill of the preferred candidate.
Ability to do performance measurement and tuning.
Mandate having good verbal & nonverbal communications skills.
