Job Description
Role of a Field Software Engineer
Our team enables global companies to adopt the latest private cloud, Linux, and open-source technologies. We are experts in Linux Ubuntu, OpenStack, and Kubernetes, offering diverse responsibilities as Linux and cloud solutions architects, cloud consultants, and software engineers. We design and deploy customized cloud solutions for customers, using Python to develop Kubernetes operators and Linux infrastructure-as-code. If you love problem-solving, architecture, presentations, and training, this role is perfect for you. Location: This role will be based remotely in India (preferably in New Delhi or Bangalore area)
What your day will look like
- Work across the entire Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, and applications.
- Develop and deliver open source code using Python.
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions, both on-premises and in public clouds like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, using technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Coach and develop colleagues, sharing your expertise and insights.
- Cultivate a collaborative engineering culture in alignment with company values.
- Enjoy remote work from home, offering flexibility and comfort.
- Travel globally for up to 25% of the time to participate in internal and external events.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, including AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
- Practical expertise in Linux and networking.
- Intermediate to Advanced level of Python programming skills.
- Enthusiastic and dynamic individual who enjoys taking on new projects and engaging with people.
- Demonstrated passion for continuous learning.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Strong organizational abilities and dependable follow-up on commitments.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
