What is IUSSTF Viterbi Program?

IUSSTF-Viterbi Program 2022, Indo-US Science and Technology Forum Research Program 2022, IUSSTF-Viterbi International Research Internship Program

The Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), and The Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California (USC) have partnered to support the IUSSTF-Viterbi Program. This program provides opportunities for Indian students to undertake research internships at the Viterbi School of Engineering in the summer of 2022 for a period of 8 weeks.

Benefits of IUSSTF-Viterbi Research Internship Program

Provide an opportunity to the best and brightest Indian students to gain exposure and access to world class research facilities in the Viterbi School.
Promote research and capacity building in frontline areas of engineering and technology.
Encourage outstanding students to take up research as a career.
Pave the way for the next generation engineers from India to interact with American peers, thus help building long-term R&D linkages and collaborations.

IUSSTF Viterbi Research Program Eligibility:

Indian students currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree at recognized institutions of higher education in India.
Open to students of Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computation Sciences.
Grade Point Average (GPA) of 8.5 or higher (or equivalent of 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale); Percentage equivalent: 80% and higher.

IUSSTF Viterbi Program Scholarship includes:

Stipend (to cover contingencies including Network access, equipment, computing facilities etc)
Airfare

At this time, it is planned to implement the 2022 program as an in-person internship. However, depending on the Covid-19 situation and travel restrictions, IUSSTF and USC may convert the program to a virtual internship.

Applications should be submitted using our Online Application Portal for Visitation Programs. Hard copies and electronic copies of the application forms will not be accepted.
